#WPLDN – November 2025

So another month goes by and another #WPLDN occurred.

#WPLDN is a meetup for people interested in WordPress. We gather, have some pizza, some drinks and listen to experts talk about some aspect of making websites.

This time around we had Graham Armfield and Rhys Wynne.

Graham talked about some of the recent developments in HTML which allow website builders to make sites which are more accessible.

Rhys got into what it’s been like for him on his freelancer journey for the past seven years – how he’s got his business set up and some of the things he’s learned along the way.

I love this event, and helping Dan Maby out with it. Dan does most of the work, and I basically just show up and press record on the video equipment.

It’s tough getting people to get themselves out in the evening. Especially when it’s dark and cold. These events are really valuable though. You make connections which might, at some indeterminate point in the future, assist you in your own work / business / life. It’s hard to encapsulate, but it’s worth it – truly.

We’re looking for sponsors for the year 2026, so if you’re reading this and think that might be of interest to you, hit me up via the contact form on this site, or go to the #WPLDN sponsor page to find out more.

If you’re in the London area on 11th December 2025, we’ve got our festive special for you, including an AI contest between a solo developer and a web development agency. Should be fun. You should join us, it’s free!
