Another month goes by and another #WPLDN happened.
We had Tim Nash speaking this time around and, as is always the case, he did a remarkable job of keeping the presentation engaging, energetic and fun.
I know that I could not do what Tim does. It’s hard work trying to make topics like this interesting. You need the right balance of entertainment and factual content. This is what we got.
He really does bring a remarkable energy, enthusiasm and fun to everything he does. Bravo.
Side note… just prior to the presentation Tim showed me a video he’d done previously. Only after the short video of himself speaking to camera had finished did he explain that he’d done none of it. It was a AI video based off a prompt and short training video of Tim actually speaking.
AI is remarkable and terrifying in equal measure, and I’m not sure if this impressed or alarmed me, Likely a bit of both!
After the short networking break we tried out a Lean Coffee style session. Attendees voted for 3 of 10 AI related subjects, and then we spilt into small groups and went through them.
I think that it was really interesting, but I’m not too sure that all the attendees agreed. It’s hard, after a long day at work, to attend these events and switch back on again. We’ll see what the feedback is. If you attended and have thoughts, please leave them in the comments.
All in all, a fun night, and we’ll be back in a month to do it all over again!
